There's never a bad time for a margarita--but the addition of crimson cranberry juice and a sparkly, spiced rim makes this simple twist on the classic ideal for holiday-season sipping. Though the ingredient list is brief, for the best balance of sweet and tart flavors it's worth seeking out unsweetened cranberry juice (instead of the more cloying "cranberry juice cocktail") and a limeade made with real sugar (such as Newman's Own or Simply Limeade), not high fructose corn syrup. Be sure not to skip the salty-sweet spiced rim: After all, 'tis the season to live a little!
